This Means Nothing, Either

Welcome to this solo journaling game I've decided to call This Means Nothing, Either. If you have purchased this, or have stolen it, or were given it as a gift by some sadist you call a friend, prepare to embrace the futility of existence and the absolute emptiness that is reality.

This journal is an exploration of nihilism in its most sour, Nietzschean interpretation, but it is also a game, and in practice it leans much harder into Camus and absurdism. If that means something to you, congratulations! You win . . . nothing. If not, also nothing. This game is your reward/punishment, and it doesn't matter whether you approach it with light and humor or with darkness and anger, because both lead to the same end. Life is meaningless, and searching for meaning in it is also meaningless. The constant introspection and extrospection taught by religions and other philosophies are both exercises in empty promises and threats, none of which amount to anything when you do finally shove off this mortal coil. This game is designed to help you make peace with this. At the end of the day, this is also art, and creating art is perhaps the only way to confront the meaningless of existence.
